About Me
About Me
Caitlin Conley
Hi, introductions are always awkward, aren’t they? Trying to find the things that the other person might want to hear, grab their attention. Before I get into who I am, lemme tell you what you’re going to be getting yourself into.

So what are you getting yourself into here? Let’s see, through my stories, sometimes funny or embarrassing or even traumatic, I hope to share with you some of the advice that people tried to tell me and I never listened to, or things I had to learn myself, the easy way or the hard way.
Cooking is how I get out my stress, and I have learned from the best after having lived in France for a little over 10 years, so I hope to share with you some recipes I have learned along the way and the stories of how I got them. I also know a great deal about wine, natural remedies, the impact of vitamins and minerals on your body and I will preach to whoever will listen, so you may get some of that too, mixed in with a few fun facts. I am a raging radical feminist, lesbian, and believer of human rights for all, so that may bleed out into my blogs quite often. I also happen to travel a lot, having been to 11 countries and counting, and through photography and my encounters, I hope to share that with you, too. Oh, and I’m also terrible at dating and spotting red flags (thank God I am now married and don’t have to deal with that anymore), so we can get into that too : ) Anyways, who am I?
My name is Caitlin, I am 28 years old and my 20’s were my biggest challenge. I am a born and raised Texan, and I moved to France on my own when I turned 18 because I thought France was this magical land of baguettes and pastries (spoiler alert, it’s not…) I am obsessed with animals and have the biggest heart for dogs, and I WILL cry over any dog video or story I see or hear. I am married to the most precious and beautiful woman alive, Ananda, and she is one of the greatest sides to myself.
Together, we have a three year old pug named Grimes, who is our baby and pride&joy. She is terribly spoiled and is known for constantly seeking attention and pretending to be a bad dog so we ”get onto her”… it works, she is really cute.
Professionally, I have a bachelors in management and a masters in marketing & communications and I have worked in many fields from private jets, to being a tv co-host for seven years, to sales and now I find myself in event planning and public relations. My favourite music genre is punk and rock, but my wife will disagree and tell you it’s gay pop (I’m looking at you, Chappell and Billie). Family wise, I have one sister and two brothers, and we grew up in a big crazy house and hosted 8 exchange students throughout my childhood from all over the world. My dad passed away in 2017, which you’ll find out impacted my life and decisions from that point on throughout the stories I hope to share in my blog. My hobbies include drinking wine, cooking, going to concerts, and travelling the world. My dream destination is a road trip in Asia that we will soon be planning for 2026. I don’t have a favorite food, but rather food fixations that I cycle through, and I love snacking. I speak two, going on four languages, as I’m working on both my Spanish and Portuguese at the same time, SOS. On a more personal level, I am also a Sagittarius rising and Virgo moon. My friends tell me that through my many stories and experiences in life, I’m like a cat with nine lives. I am a classic oversharer by definition and a naive optimistic girly-girl and I’m SO happy to have you here and I hope you find something relatable in all my experiences and stories.
All my love,
Caitlin
