Mercury Retrograde : 

I don’t know if you’ve also been feeling it, but in this period you might have been dreaming of your ex or thinking about them more than you usually do, or just generally revisiting your past events. Dreams may also seem to have small random signs with big significations. That’s the retrograde speaking. This period is going to make you think your life is moving in the wrong direction and make you question yourself – but mixed with a Lions Gate Portal, you really have to be careful. Use this time for inner reflection. Avoid making any big decisions in life, DO NOT contact anyone that you’re not already usually in contact with (old friends, ex, etc.) Just reflect on your feelings and your current situation. You can question your life direction, but I advise to get your thoughts in order for the portal that is coming, because that is going to throw you in whatever direction you have on your mind.

The Lions Gate Portal :

This is the perfect time to manifest what you want in life, falling on 8/8 in the year 2024 (2+0+2+4=8), think of it like a triple infinity if you will. And if you’re thinking this is silly, let’s get into a short history/astrology lesson : the star Sirius is the key to opening the Lions Gate Portal. Sirius is the brightest star in our Universe and has played a role in many cultures around the world for centuries. The same Sirius is derived from the greek word Seirios, meaning ‘Glowing’, which really shows how bright the star is, being one of the closest stars to our planet and 25 times brighter than our sun. In ancient Egypt, Sirius was the Goddess Sopdet, and was a woman with five pointed stars on her head. Her consort was the god Sah – who deified the constellation Orion, who was associated with Osiris, and Osiris is a god of death and rebirth, transformation and regeneration. See where we are going with this? On top of that, the Egyptian New Year fell around this same time, as it was marked by Sirius’s rising, and the annual flooding of the Nile River. 

During the Lions Gate Portal, the Earth, Sirius, the constellation Orion and our Sun in the sign Leo, all come into alignment. This cosmic event is said to activate a portal that allows all your manifestations and dreams to come into play very quickly. Andddd, since it is all happening on the number 8, think power, sex, money, death and rebirth. That being said, you can focus your manifestations around these subjects. 

Here are my plans :

As I have been feeling more sensitive to the Mercury Retrograde than the Lions Gate this year, I will be focusing on Rebirth and pushing towards the future, leaving the past behind me once in for all. Here is how I am going to do it : 

1. In the days leading up to the 8th, and the days following (until the 12th), I will ONLY be listening to high vibration music. Personally, I normally love to listen to sad music and dwell on sad feelings, but not for this period. I will be making a playlist and adding it to my Spotify if you’re curious. 

2. Writing out my wishes to the Universe : As I am travelling, I will just be taking notes on my phone: but how it works is, you write a ‘Dear diary’ letter as if it was a year from now. You start by writing down everything you did during that ‘day’ (your dream for exactly one year from now), and you finish the letter expressing your gratitude towards the Universe. You sign your name and date it for one year from now. Now, I did this last year, which had me curious and I opened up, and here were a couple of the things that I wished for :

To live in a place near a beach – in progress

Travel to Rome, Brazil and London – done !

Be financially stable – done !

Have a puppy – nope

Everyday feel like a pure pleasure – done !

Go to the gym – nope

Have new friends in our new place – nope

Be engaged – we are married, lol

All in all, almost everything came true ! As we are still travelling, having a puppy would be insane, and we don’t live anywhere fixed (yet) to be able to go to the gym or make new friends. So I am happy with the results ! Ananda did the same thing, and almost all her wishes came true, including me being able to speak Portuguese and her financial situation as well. 

3. Ridding my thoughts of the past and only focusing on my future. That means mapping out my days once we are moved in, continuing to map out our next apartment on the Sims (nerdy, I know), planning how we are going to arrange our space, etc. Just a general focus on what is next and not what has happened.

If you’re wanting to manifest love & sex, here is what I would do if I were you : 

Decide what you want exactly, write it down on paper. On the night of the 8th, I would surround myself with either pink or orange candles, sitting down and take a few deep breaths. Visualize that love. Have the feeling embody you. Keep the though in your head and sit in those feelings for as long as you can. You can find some high vibration love music and just move around in your space, keeping your mind in that state. I would also take a bath with some Ylang Ylang and the same candles, and then enjoy my own company in bed that night. Sleep on that piece of paper that you wrote on. If you want to get into some deeper magic, you can also put honey or sugar in your mouth before you kiss the person you’re thinking of.. but thats a whole other subject. 

If you want to manifest money, this is what I would do :

Start the same way as love and sex. Write on a piece of paper, only this time, surround yourself with green candles. You can burn bay leaves as you keep that thought in your mind of how you would feel if you had the money you’re wanting. Put some bay leaves in your wallet and keep them there, and maybe take a bath with basil essential oils. Same thing as before, stay in that mindset for as long as possible and sleep on your paper. 

As for manifesting power, I don’t know where I would start. Honestly, I think I would do the same ritual for love, as self-love is the start of confidence and knowing what you deserve, which can help with getting power. There is nothing more powerful than love though, IMO.
